About P systems with symport/antiport
It is proved that four membranes suffice to P systems with minimal symport/antiport to generate all recursively enumerable sets of numbers. It is also proved that P systems with symport/antiport without maximal parallelism are equivalent to partially blind counter automata.
متن کاملSome Open Problems about Numerical P Systems
Some open problems and research topics related to numerical P systems are formulated – also recalling the problems from the corresponding section of the " mega-paper " [2] produced for the previous BWMC.
متن کاملNotes About Spiking Neural P Systems
Spiking neural P systems (SN P systems, for short) are much investigated in the last years in membrane computing, but still many open problems and research topics are open in this area. Here, we first recall two such problems (both related to neural biology) from [15]. One of them asks to build an SN P system able to store a number, and to provide it to a reader without losing it, so that the n...
متن کاملTwenty Six Research Topics About Spiking Neural P Systems
To continue the tradition of the previous brainstorming weeks on membrane computing, I am collecting here a series of open problems and research topics, not about membrane computing in general, but about one of the directions of research which were pretty much investigated in the last year: spiking neural P systems. In general, one mentions issues which look of a broader nature, but also some p...
متن کامل(Imprecise Topics about) Handling Imprecision in P Systems
The standard P systems are beautiful mathematical toys (maybe of interest for computer scientists, linguists, etc) which can easily get a smile from Palma-de-Mallorca-of-biologists. Working with multisets, hence precisely counting the objects from the compartments of a system (a cell), assuming a universal clock, which ticks uniformly for all compartments, and using the rules (reactions) in the...
